Welcome to the
Colombian Pacific
Coast.

The Colombian Pacific Coast it’s one of the most biodiverse regions in the planet, and one of the last virgin “primary forest” hostspots in the world. It’s one of the 6 Natural Regions in Colombia, formed by 4 Departamentos: Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Cauca and Nariño, and it’s home for 4 Colombian National Parks.

It’s has aproximately a 1 million population, and most of it’s people are African American descendends, with some mestizos and indigeous people being minorities. It’s landscapes are characterize by dense tropical jungle crossed by rivers which are one of the most important mean of transport makes it Colombia’s biggest hidric reserve.

The huge biodiversity of this region doesn’t limitates only to the land, in its oceans the Pacific Coast offers some of the same species Darwin studied in the Gálapagos and the Malpelo and Gorgona islands offers some of the best spots for profesional diversin the world being able to dive with the wildest animals of the ocean like sharks and whales.

Every year one of the most beautiful nature spectacles happens from July to October when the giant Yubarta Whales swim from the south pole to the Colombian Pacific Coast to reproduc and have it’s children. In this region you can go whale wathching with the local guides and see how the whale nature and teach their children how to swim and jump.

Within the most beautiful placed to visit in the region are the Colombian National Pantural Parks: Utría National Park in the Chocó area, Malpelo Island National Park, Gorgona Island National Park and the Bahía Málaga National Park in the Valle del Cauca department.
